A real musical history lesson of the roots of Jazz al the way through Fats, Tate. etc-etc til modern forms - astonishing beautiful 😻!!!
This is pure magic. Feels like the speed and punctuality of SRV but on the piano. Amazing 🎵
My two cents - the greatest jazz pianist of all time. Period.
While Barney looks scared as if thinking he’s a monster, Niels looks proud as if saying this is my boss.
Literally had the jazz stank face during and 15 minutes after hearing this
Absolutely phenomenal So virtuoso. I think he was the best in the world
Ca ne vielliera jamais... On est jeune et heureux !
Best Jazz ever.
❤❤❤❤❤👍
Best part strides 0:56 5:41
I love how the other musicians are listening.
Flippn brilliant... Imagine thinking that fast? and improvising 'on the hoof' as they say.. geezers
at 7 mins wth is happening, that is beyond possible right!? Sounded like he was trying to summon Art Tatum to the room...
Як захопливо дивляться музики на оскаро петерсона
Навіть ділетант розуміе що це віртуоз
God can’t play piano better than that
Hey, it's just that easy, you see.
It Beggs the question: how many hours did he not practice.
Fenomenal!!!
Bravo ❤
All I have to say is there is Franz Liszt and Oskar Peterson. They just had a divine mastery of the keyboard like nobody else. Well, and Rachmaninov of course
COUNT BASIE CALLED OSCAR THE MAHARAJA OF THE PIANO!
So many to say …. But I stay … to no comment!!!!
Barney kessel, what a guitar player.
The GOAT of all the goats. No one comes close. Oh how I miss this man.
Listen to Yang Yang then talk to me about piano
What's the betting he was pretty good on other instruments?
It's a bit wow innit!
Simply the best!❤
What a pianist love him to bits
Oscar Peterson is the reason the piano was invented
I marvel at his pianist
The Greatest Musician ...ever. Staggering.
Is there any way to get sheet music of this?? It's super hard to try and replicate this otherwise
You can tell Barney inspired Oscar to pull out all the stops on that one.
Absolutely mindblowing
No words,nothing to be said.
Keep in mind that you watch this for free...
Holy mother!!!! 😮
What a giant we lost ✌️😊
Totally and utterly Mind blowing…
Also watching this because of Rick Beato. Brilliant!
Anyone knows the location? I think it's "Ronny Scott's" but I'm not sure
The triplet blues lick at 3:01 is absolutely fucking nuts I can't get over it
Beato brought me here
The pixels cant keep up with his hands
This man was a fking badass.
This isn’t jazz it’s universal to blues and rock and roll. He was tapped into the universal music stream that runs through all great music. He is so good it makes me overwhelmed with joy and depressed that I will never be as good as he was. Damn!
Look at those keys, and the tuning, think of what Oscar had to deal with and still be the worlds greatest. Pianos needs regular maintenance, he is just punishing that shit piano into being a glorious sound. GOAT
The musicallity is mind bending. One thing is to play technically well this is beyond on a another planet...thanks
Now I know where Bruce Hornsby got all his chops from! Damn!
